Asteria Grand Café

In 1964 the Sgouros family started their first business and the whole family decided to join forces working 24/7 to offer it’s services to the local community & tourists every single day. The companies main filosophy has always been to use fresh products and ingredients and to make every guest to feel right at home.

In 1975 the first renovation of the beautiful neo-classical building on the groundfloor was completed and in 2001 the second renovation was completed and covered the total internal and the exterior building.

Nowadays Asteria Grand Café is a modern Cafe/Bistro facing the Port of Aghios Nikolaos, Crete. Café Asteria has comfortable indoor & outdoor seats and tables where you can enjoy your drinks and snacks whilst the world goes by.

The Rooftop & Cocktail bar is open from May to October and has a wonderful panoramic terrace featuring amazing views of the port and buzzling nightlife below.

It is a magic spot where you can enjoy a beer, great cocktails, a glass of wine or exclusive drinks. Just be charmed by the beauty of the sky with it’s countless stars.

Live Music

Occasionally Grand Café Asteria organises Live Music Events all year round where you can enjoy great live music or a DJ while having a sip or snack with family and friends in a warm atmospheric environment.

Our orders were taken and our drinks served by a blonde lady who I believe may be the owner or manager, I cannot remember her name but she was absolutely lovely and made me the best strawberry daiquiri I've ever tasted!

We were actually browsing the menu on the other side of the street with the separate tables, when a pleasant waitress started speaking to us. We quickly understood it was the right place at the time, as we were promptly escorted to the cafe itself to browse the selection of pastries and cakes on display, which we liked.
